FAQ

Is Hannah Disney your real name and are you related to THE Disney's? TOP

My current legal, married name is Anne Lynn Disney. Hannah has been my alias/nickname since I was 12 years old (for over 17 years now, way before Hannah Montana!), and it is all most people have ever known me by. I assumed the Disney last name when I married at age 19 in California.

We are not related to the famous Walt Disney family, company, fortune or empire in any way!

Although my last name is legally Disney, I have electively decided to change my pen name from Hannah Disney to Hannah Lynn. To read more about this decision, please visit my Name Change page.

What is an "ACEO"? TOP

ACEO stands for "Art Cards, Edition and Originals". Originally art cards were traded among artists as a way to collect art without having to spend any money, also known as ATC's, or Artist Trading Cards. They are now a popular way for art enthusiasts all around the world to collect original works of art (and fine prints) without having to take up a large amount of space. Many collectors keep them in baseball card albums and other similar display items as they are the standard trading card size: 2.5" x 3.5" (which is the one and only rule in creating an ACEO). Artists and collectors alike marvel at the level of detail in these miniature treasures. They are a fun way to collect and share art.

Do you produce larger works of art other than ACEO size (2.5"x3.5") TOP

I do produce works of art in 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10. However, most of the time I create ACEO's because they are more time friendly and a lot of fun to do! I accept commissioned projects on a case by case basis and have pricing guidelines under "commissions". I have plans to create many more large format works of art coming in 2009-2010! If you want to be kept up to date on new releases, please join my mailing list.

Can I use your artwork on my website? TOP

I do allow for personal use of my artwork on social networking sites (like Myspace and Facebook) and blogs, etc. You may use the graphics I have provided for FREE in my online catalog or you may create your own link for other images you see on the site, so long as you provide credit to the artist. You are in no way to alter the images without permission, and you are not allowed to re-distribute the images on another website (personal use only, sharing with friends is fine). Please see Terms of Use for more information.
I am pretty easy going when it comes to sharing my artwork so please don't ruin things for others by ignoring these simple rules! Thank you.

Can you create a special piece of artwork just for me? TOP

I accept commission projects on a limited basis. I have an entire page dedicated to commission pricing and guidelines since I get numerous requests.

Can you make me (or my daughter, son, friend, etc.) into a mermaid or fairy? TOP

Yes! I am now creating beautiful Hannah-magical paintings created using photographs as references! You and family and friends can be the star of your own fantasy painting. There are also products that you order featuring your new painting, like t-shirts, tote bags, puzzles, greeting cards, etc.
